The Romans Road is a simple way to understand the good news of Jesus Christ using verses from Paul’s letter to the Romans. Follow these five steps.
1. Everyone Has Sinned
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23, KJV)
No one is good enough to reach God on their own. We have all broken His law.
2. Sin Has a Penalty
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23, KJV)
Sin earns death and separation from God, but God offers eternal life as a free gift.
3. Christ Died for Us
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8, KJV)
Jesus paid the penalty we owed by dying on the cross, and He rose again.
4. Salvation Comes by Faith
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10, KJV)
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13, KJV)
5. Peace with God
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:1, KJV)
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1, KJV)
Will You Respond Today?
If you believe these truths, you can turn to Jesus right now. Admit you are a sinner, believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose again, and call on Him to save you. If you’ve made that decision, tell a Christian friend, find a Bible-believing church, and start reading the Gospel of John.
